Executive Committee Nominations 2019/20
As usual, there will be four new Executive Committee places (inc. attending monthly Executive meeting) for the standard two-year term. The roles are:
Inspiration & Support Chair (new)
We have evolved the Social role to reflect the other two pillars of our Purpose as well as feedback from members that they love the events but are much more likely to attend the ones that enrich either their professional or personal development and ideally both. Events such as the RADA training and the What Women Want exhibition in partnership with Kantar were huge hits from last year’s calendar. In addition to these sorts of events, our hope is that this Chair and her committee will be able to develop a series of events where we can inspire and learn from each other
Campaigning Chair (new)
This is the first time we have had a role dedicated to campaigning on the WACL Exec. As a core pillar of our Purpose, it is time to dedicate some real brain power to identifying which issues we will campaign for, build relationships with government bodies, key media and partners and establish a strong voice for WACL. This role will work closely with both the Gatherings and Partners chair and the Comms and Voice Chair as well as the Exec.
Gather (2nd Chair)
Leading Gather is demanding but equally one of the most rewarding roles in WACL. Gather is our day of support, inspiration, and training for the brilliant, talented women across our industry and this committee delivers the entire event from ticket sales to sponsorship and advertising to developing the theme and finding speakers
Communications & Voice Chair
This is a relatively new role but as the title suggests this is about giving WACL a voice. This role is central to bringing our Purpose to life through our members and their stories as well as sharing key moments in our calendar such as Gather. For 2019/20 we have the opportunity to establish our voice and to reach new audiences through maintaining our relationship with our industry press and building relationships with the nationals as well as extending our social reach.
Please nominate yourself or any fellow WACL members using this form. If there are more than 4 nominations then a vote will take place at the AGM. For any new Members, it is recommended joining a Committee in your first year, before taking on a lead role.
