Rebekah Brooks (nee Wade) was appointed Chief Executive of News International Ltd in September 2009. News International Ltd is the publisher of four leading national newspapers in the UK; The Sun, The Times, News of the World and The Sunday Times.

Prior to The Sun, Rebekah spent three years as Editor of the UK’s leading Sunday tabloid, the News of the World. Whilst she was there she was responsible for spearheading the campaign that led to the introduction of 14 new pieces of legislation that form part of what is now known as Sarah’s Law.
Previously, she spent two years as Deputy Editor of The Sun, and before that she worked across a series of posts on the New of the World, rising to the position of Deputy Editor in 1995.
Rebekah began her career as a feature writer for News of the World’s Sunday magazine in 1989.
