Workshop - Women on Boards
Nov 26, 2012 – 7:00 pm
Accelerate your journey to board level without relying on EU quotas.
The EU is planning on setting a quota of 40% of women to be on boards of listed companies by 2020. Whilst the numbers of women on boards may be lower than desired, surely we should rely on our ability to get ourselves in top senior board positions rather than letting it become a legal obligation?
In many eyes, quotas are a form of discrimination designed to create an illusion of progress. As the 30% club argues in favour of voluntary change to achieve the right balance, we should rely on the strong business case for the benefits of diversity as women bring a different perspective to decision making and foster fresh ideas and learning.
This workshop is a unique opportunity to receive invaluable insight from some of the industry’s most senior women about their journeys to the board and their roles within it in today’s highly competitive and changing world. Find out how they have leveraged different approaches to get on to the board and get their views on how to improve the % of women in senior positions. Join us at this workshop to table your questions about the future road you face as you pursue your career goals.
