First WACL Wine Wednesday
Dear Ladies of WACL,
The WACL Social team are delighted to announce the first WACL Wine Wednesday on 1st November, which the fabulous Debbie Morrison and Amelia Torode are organising for us in response to many requests from members to have regular and uber-informal get-togethers.
We are planning to do these every other month with a little break in December. After all, no one needs more wine in the run-up to Christmas! Future dates to follow.
Here’s the gig:
Where is it? Terroirs Wine Bar, 5 William IV Street, London WC2N 4DW. This is just between The Strand and The Colosseum. It’s an award-winning bar and restaurant, owned by a lady winemaker, and loved by Jay Rayner. We are planning for it to be the regular home of the event. We will have our own area there. www.terroirswinebar.com
What happens? No booking form, just come anytime you like, for as long as you like. Five minutes or five hours is fine by us. Folk of WACL Social will be there to greet you from 6-8pm, but if it goes on until they throw us out, that would be even better.
What does it cost? Well, that depends on how much you drink (and eat) as its a buy-your-own thing.
Does it count towards my “event count”? Not on your Nellie, but we hope you’ll come for the pleasure of everyone’s society and Terroir’s rather cool wine list.
If you have any other questions, please ask Debbie at Debbiem@isba.org.uk, who, with Amelia has got this on the go.
One last thing… although we very much want this to be a drop in thing….. as its the first one, we have a little concern about demand and space. So if you are definitely planning to come, do drop Debbie a line so we can get a rough idea of numbers. But even if you haven’t done this you will be spectacularly welcome on the day.
See you there, chaps!
