Speaker bios:
Alison Phillips was the Editor-in-Chief of the Mirror from 2018 to 2024, during which the paper won Daily Newspaper of the Year and News Media Organisation in 2022. She led major campaigns on organ donation laws and rail ticket office preservation while steering the paper through key moments like Covid and the Partygate scandal. Alison previously edited the Sunday Mirror and served as Deputy Editor-in-Chief at Reach plc. She also chaired Women in Journalism and frequently appears on TV as a media commentator.
Kate Ferguson is the Political Editor of the Sun on Sunday, the first woman in this role at The Sun. She began her career at the Willesden & Brent Times, later covering major crime stories for the Press Association. Since joining The Sun in 2019, she’s built a strong reputation for breaking political news, especially during the Brexit and Covid upheavals. Her incisive questioning of government officials is widely recognized.
Camilla Tominey is Associate Editor at The Daily Telegraph, focusing on politics and royals, and frequently appears on television as a royal expert. She has reported on the Royal Family since 2005 and broke the news of Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan Markle. Camilla also hosts a Sunday show on GB News and has received awards for her journalism, including for her work on addiction recovery and her royal reporting.
