WACL NED Talk: Being an effective Remuneration Committee member in the current business climate, 17 November 2022 @ 12:15

November 17, 2022 @ 12:15 pm - 1:30 pm

Our next NED talk focusses on an area of key interest for both new and more experienced NEDS: sitting on the modern REMCO.  As Board members we are frequently invited to join – and as we become more experienced, Chair – this important committee.

You’ll be hearing from two highly qualified and expert speakers:  Sally Cooper, Partner and Remco adviser at Deloitte, and WACL’s own Helen Stevenson, portfolio NED and Board Chair at RM, currently chairing the Remuneration Committees for both Skipton Building Society and IG Group.

Sally and Helen will discuss the scope of the work and responsibilities of the REMCO, particularly in the context of the current economic climate and cost of living crisis.  Balancing talent retention with employee engagement and the need to do the right thing for the entire workforce is high on REMCO agendas.

Our fellow WACLer and portfolio NED, Jennelle Tilling, will be chairing the discussion and you’ll find the speakers’ extensive biographies here.

Please book your place at this members-only Zoom event on Thursday, 17th November, 12.15 – 13.30 as soon as you can by replying or contacting Francesca Ecsery on [email protected]
