Bill Brydon Soiree – 16 March 2016

Mar 16, 2016

Dear Waclers

We have been offered a wonderful Event opportunity, courtesy of Jane Frost at MRS.

MRS is a not for profit regulatory and professional body, and as part of its remit has a large conference in London each year. The conference always ends with a literary keynote speech and this year, MRS is delighted to welcome as speaker, the wonderful Bill Bryson, author, converted Brit, Chancellor of Bournemouth University, and holder of the Royal Society’s Aventis Prize and the EU’s Descartes prize amongst others.

MRS is very kindly offering 20 places at the Bryson session to WACL members. There will be no charge, but we would like to ask for a small donation (£10 on the door) to this year’s WACL charities.

The event will take place on Wednesday 16th March, starting with tea at 4.15 pm at the Grange Tower Bridge Hotel (a few minutes’ walk from Tower Hill tube) and concluding with a glass of bubbly after the speech.

If you would like to come, please fill in the attached booking form and return it to John Bizell, john.bizzell@mrs.org.uk at MRS as soon as possible.
