Speaker lunch with Grazia and Advertising Week
As you know we have a speaker lunch planned for the 18th April. I’m pleased to tell you that we are changing the format and location for this to coincide with Advertising Week.
Following our wonderful Grazia lunch last year at the start of Advertising Week, our friends at Grazia have generously offered to host us again in the beautiful ambiance of the Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon (South Salon), Fortnum & Mason. Thanks to the generosity of Grazia this event will be free to WACL members.
The event will include a panel featuring our very own Dame Carolyn McCall CEO of Easyjet and Jayne-Anne Gadhia, CEO of Virgin Money being interviewed by the Editor of Grazia, Natasha Pearlman. It will be a free, exclusive event for WACL members only (plus a few guests of Grazia and Advertising Week) held, once again in the glamorous surrounds of Fortnum and Mason although it will also be filmed and streamed as part of the Advertising Week programme of events. As usual there will be delicious food and wine and no doubt fabulous goody bags. What’s not to like about this?
We are strongly hoping that we will be able to accommodate all members who want to come but just in case it is over-subscribed we are going to handle the bookings in a slightly different way from usual. You have between now and THURSDAY 24TH MARCH to send your booking form to Jill (firstname.lastname@example.org) which gives you a good 10 days to apply for a place. We will then get back to you by WEDNESDAY 30 MARCH to confirm if you have secured a place. As I said earlier, fingers crossed that we can accommodate everyone but we will confirm immediately after Easter. I’m sorry that you can’t take guests to this event but it should be a wonderful, intimate event and a great way to mark the first day of Advertising Week.
All the best and I look forward to seeing many of you there.
